Cirque Arts Camp:

ages 8+

July 7-11 and/or July 14-18 (Mon-Fri 11 am - 4 pm) 

Taught by Team USA Gold Medalist 2021, and United States Aerial Arts Organization President, Carissa Doig, Campers will condition and train like an aerial pro at Cirque Arts Camp!

Your Cirque Arts Camper will get a chance to try all different apparatus, and learn fun new air dances.

Cirque Arts Camp will focus on the creativity of Cirque (Aerial) Arts and your camper will learn how to perform as well as learn what goes on behind the scenes of the Aerial Arts Performance stage!

Cirque Arts Camp Activities Include:

-Aerial Arts classes: low flow silks, aerial hammock, and aerial hoop

-Flow Performance (fan dance)

-Theatrical makeup lessons

-Costume Design

-Set/lighting design

-Routine Performance

-Arts & Crafts

-Glow party!

-End of week Cirque Camper Showcase!

 

*Campers should wear form-fitting clothing, no shorts, and no crop tops please. No jewelry please. Hair must be pulled back and out of the face. Please arrive with snacks and plenty of water.

Little Aerialists:

ages 6-8 ALL LEVELS 

Mon & Weds 5:30 - 6:00 pm

Why is this class only a half hour long?  Aerial Arts requires building up quite a bit of strength and endurance. In Little Aerialists Class your little aerialist will be learning the very basic building blocks of Aerial Arts; this includes a lot of aerial arts conditioning. 

Each class will focus on building: balance, focus, stretching, core strength, and building up the muscles needed for each apparatus. 

Students will also be learning: basic poses, transitions, wraps, and moves.

Your Little Aerialists student will be invited to participate in student showcases.

*Aerial Arts students must come to class in form-fitting clothing. No shorts. No crop tops please. Hair must be pulled back tightly and out of the face. No jewelry is allowed. Please arrive with plenty of water and a snack.

Aerial Arts is a performance art. In keeping with performance tradition, all black attire is encouraged, but is not mandatory. Leotards with leggings are ok. Biketards with leggings underneath are ok. Full unitards are ok. Tank tops and yoga pants/leggings are ok.

Youth Aerial Arts Club:

ages 9-12 ALL LEVELS

Mon & Weds 6:00 - 7:00 pm

Youth Aerial Arts Club focuses on: building strength, flexibility, self discipline, creativity, balance, and more!

In this class students will be introduced to different Aerial Apparatus. Both the student and coach will have a clear understanding of which aerial apparatus the student will gravitate towards by going through a series of aerial circuits each class. Youth Aerialists will learn poses, transitions, wraps, and moves that are beginner to intermediate. Flow will be introduced at the end of class and your student will dance in the air!

Your Youth Aerial Arts Club student will be invited to participate in student showcases.

Teen Aerial Arts Club:

ages 13-17 ALL LEVELS

Summer classes start July 21st Mon & Weds 3-4:00 pm

Teen Aerial Arts Club focuses on: conditioning, teamwork, making friends, building strength both mentally and physically by lifting each other up, self discipline, conditioning, creativity, conditioning, balance, partner/group routines, and... did we mention conditioning?

Teen Aerialists will learn poses, wraps, creative transitions, and moves; levels beginner +. Teen Aerialists will focus on musicality, and movement art to flow and put together awe inspiring aerial arts routines!

Your Teen Aerial Arts Club student will be invited to participate in student showcases.

Student Showcases:

Generally we have about 4 student showcases each calendar year (1 per each season). Miss Carissa will let you know when each showcase will take place and how your student can sign up.
